Communications and Fundraising Coordinator

The Library Project is looking for a Vietnamese national to add to our team as our new Communications and Fundraising Coordinator. This person will increase corporate sponsorships by finding new corporate donors and meeting with them in person. They will assist through the entire donor cycle, from drafting contracts to sending donor reports after the completion of our work. This position will also be largely responsible for digital communications, including social media and blog posts. This person will take photos and videos during donation trips to help capture the work we do. They are responsible for any editing associated with photos and videos. The ideal candidate is one who likes to talk to others, has an understanding of online communications and is ready to take on new challenges with a smile.
About The Library Project
We are an international NGO working to give rural children in Asia access to high-quality educational resources. We donate local language children's libraries to underfunded, rural schools that lack funding for additional resources. We also conduct Literacy Programs and Teacher Trainings. Main Duties:
Communications and Engagement
• All communication and engagement will be conducted in Vietnamese and English
• Develop and execute social media strategy for awareness raising and fundraising campaigns
• Take photos and videos during donation trips for donor reporting, social media and website use
• Update website as needed
• Write blog posts for website (weekly)
• Write email newsletters (monthly, more frequent during end of year)
• Assist with creating additional communication materials as needed
Fund Development
• Assist Fundraising Manager with corporate fundraising through research, emailing and calling companies
• Meet with potential and recurring donors in person to present our organization and discuss partnerships
• Draft and negotiate contracts with donors
• Prepare Completion Reports for donors
• Develop strategies for local online fundraising campaigns for individuals
• Build partnerships with local event companies for sponsorship
Other Information about this Position:
• This is a full time, salaried position. General working hours are M-F daytime, however, occasional evening and weekend work might be needed. This position requires occasional regional travel to attend our library donation days.
• Please note this is not a remote a position. The position requires in-office presence in Ho Chi Minh City (Binh Thanh district). We cannot sponsor moving or travel costs associated with an interview or moving upon accepting this position.
