Position Objective
The principal objective of this role is to ensure that ISHCMC successfully administrates a comprehensive communications strategy which confirms, enhances and extends the profile and reputation of the school to its stakeholders. Working with the Head of Marketing & Communications, you will develop and implement a comprehensive annual Communications Plan that supports the departments objectives.
The Communications Manager will work collaboratively with various stakeholders and report directly to the Head of Marketing & Communications at ISHCMC.
Responsibilities
The Communications Manager reports to the Head of Marketing & Communications on daily basis, including but not limited to:
•Work with school Principal’s and Leadership Teams to publish weekly update to parents.
•Continuously collaborate with Contacts to deliver a consistent and professional standard of communication. Ensuring consistent communication to our community
•Create and publish a digital newsletter that captures stories of the School and achievements
•Conceptualize and lead production of material that celebrates ISHCMC life, aligned to the Communications Plan
•Coordinate, manage and publish the School events calendar
•Update and create school printed (and online) communication material e.g. Curriculum Guides, Handbooks
•Lead the development of the Yearbook in ensuring the publishing meets deadline and content is accurate.
•Be a versatile copywriter who edits, proof-reads and publishes material
•Promote an effective and efficient flow of information between departments to ensure up-to-date stories are shared via various Communication channels
•Support student groups with their events and communications
•Internal events – support teachers with promotion and communications
•Become the ambassador for digital Communication channels (such as SEQTA, SeeSaw etc.) to drive engagement with parents
•Oversee digital communication platforms to ensure information is up-to-date and published frequently following Communications guidelines
•Create a library of school photos and videos in association with the ISHCMC Events
•Support PTO with their events in association with the ISHCMC Events
•Work with teachers to capture everyday school activities
•Interact and engage with parents around school to capture snapshots of their opinions
•Analyze data collected from parent surveys with admin team to strategize communications
•Work with the Head of Marketing & Communications to implement a consistent strategic plan for ISHCMC communications
•Edit and publish basic Communications graphics
•Manage the Communications budget
The job holder’s responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young person’s for whom s/he is responsible, or with whom s/he comes into contact will be to adhere to and ensure compliance with the relevant Cognita Safeguarding; Child Protection Policy and Procedures at all times. If in the course of carrying out the duties of the role, the job holder identifies any instance that a child is suffering or likely to suffer significant harm either at school or at home, s/he must report any concerns to the School’s Child Protection Officer/Designated Safeguarding Lead or to the Head of indeed to the Regional CEP so that a referral can be made accordingly to the relevant third part services.

•Have a good working knowledge of Adobe design software’s to complete basic graphic design needs (training will be provided to upskill where necessary)
Qualifications
•Bachelor degree, preferred Master Degree
•4 years + experience in Marketing and Communications
