Continuous Improvement Lead

* Goal of function: Support the introduction of a continuous improvement process (KVP)
* Description of function
- Conduct workshops for various plant functions (e.g. Production, Logistics, etc.) to identify improvement potential (e.g. with regard to minutes, space and material, parametrization of production equipment, reduction of error rates, etc.)
- Cooperate in optimizing standards/processes/production equipment (e.g. computer- aided monitoring of maintenance cycles via databases, etc.)
- Conduct associate training sessions on standards
- Implement actions, responsibilities and schedules to realize potential capacities, in cooperation with the team
- Determine capacities, based on key identifiers (e.g. productivity, scrap, etc.) in cooperation with the responsible persons in the plants
- Compile workshop results and create corresponding reports for supervisors/management
- Implement agreed actions, in cooperation with the area involved
- Identify improvement potential in standards and inform central office
Alternative I, in addition to the tasks mentioned above:
- Introduce standards (DPSI) in the plants and review compliance with them, in cooperation with management
Alternative II, in addition to the tasks mentioned above:
- Create working instructions for processes, production equipment and workflows (e.g. cable cutting, ultrasonic welding, etc.
- Create production equipment handbooks, manuals and technical documentations (e.g. CAD drawings, pneumatic, electrical, mechanical drawings, etc.) and assure compliance to relevant standards
- Develop maintenance tools (e.g. visual basic database for cable carts, etc.)

- Specialist knowledge: Advanced vocational/technical training usually acquired through a degree in a technical or vocational discipline plus a few years of experience (knowledge of methods, techniques and processes; mastery level of skilled trade)
- Type of activities: Some differing tasks with several potential solutions, including analysis of the situation/causes
- Scope: Standardized procedures and processes, and general work instructions; progress is monitored at longer intervals
