Job Purpose / Objectives (a summary of the general nature, level and the reason why the position exists)
The Costing Manager role involves overseeing and managing the cost estimation process for solar energy projects. Their main responsibility is to ensure accurate and efficient cost analysis throughout the project lifecycle.He/She is responsible for conducting thorough cost estimations for solar energy projects. They analyze project requirements, review plans and specifications, and use historical data to calculate the projected costs accurately. This includes estimating costs for solar panels, inverters, mounting systems, electrical components, labor, permits, and other associated expenses.
Job Accountabilities (Primary job responsibilities but not limited to)
1 Assist in Company&039;s Project development including, but not limited to:
• Feasibility study and technical assessments: irradiation analysis (PVSyst), engineering gross design and costing
• Prospective clients&039; profiling: analysis of energy consumption patterns, load curves, tariff structure
• Conduct site assessment and preliminary project execution plan.
• Contribute to the Company&039;s Research & Development projects

(ii) Timeliness of submission of proposals.
(i) Accuracy of assessments and proposals.
(iii) Involvement with or contribution to projects that are “out- of- norm” or new technologies toLYS, such as battery, EVs, etc.
2 Assist and support sales team:
• Answer technical clarifications
• Proposal drafting and answers to tenders
• Support contract drafting
• Liaise with clients on technical requirements
• Responsible for handover to project execution team
• Responsible for technical presentation decks upgrades
4 Solar PV Design and Engineering with good engineering practice and in compliance with IEC 60364 or local equivalent and local regulatory codes relevant to Solar PV Installations
(i) Number of projects involved with (or responsible for) at the various stages measured by % of projects with respect to total number of projects brought in by sales team.
(iii) Consistency and timeliness withmaintaining andupdating of tools used, such as technical presentation decks.
(ii) Client feedback or client complaints
3 Provide engineering support as needed to the project development, engineering and project management teams:
• Responsible for engineering tool upgrade and development
• Responsible for team continuous training
• Support internal processes (incl. ISO 45001/9001)
• Inquire on regulatory codes in SEA countries relevant to PV installation
• Coordinate team workload and schedule
• Conduct research on new solutions and linked topics
• Support and advise in daily work
(i) Consistency and timeliness with updating of tools used, such as costing tool.

(iii) Contributions to updating and maintaining database of internal SOPs and processes
Major Challenges on This Position
A The Employee will also be responsible for liaising with clients, legal agencies, suppliers, services providers and any other partners with which the Employer work or will be working.

The Costing Manager requires but not limited to good time management skills but also a deep understanding of the technical, regulatory, and market dynamics associated with solar energy projects.
