Data Analyst Intern

The Business Intelligence Department&039;s mission is to consolidate and analyze diverse data sources, providing actionable insights that empower informed decision- making across our organization. We are looking for two Data Analyst Interns who are in charge of creating data measures and distributing valuable insights to stakeholders. This role will also support the implementation of ad- hoc analysis and reports.
The Data Analyst team, integral to our Business Intelligence mission, specializes in collecting, cleansing, manipulating and visualizing data. We deliver valuable insights by analyzing processes, empowering other departments and stakeholders to make decisions with ease and effectiveness.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Investigate and understand source data and how to use it to meet the reporting and analytical needs of the stakeholders.
Cleanse and analyze data from different systems.
Build reports and dashboards in data visualization tools.
Gather BI & Analytics requirements from stakeholders.
Interface with engineering teams to ensure relevant source data is made available.
Support ad hoc data queries and data analysis and present findings to all levels of management.

Required skills:

Last- year students or recent graduates in Statistics, Math, or another analytical field (or equivalent experience).
Basic analytical skills and ability to use data to back up assumptions and complete root cause analyses.
Basic English language skills, including the ability to communicate effectively in both written and spoken English.
Intellectual curiosity.
Have knowledge of statistics, SQL, ability to perform effective querying involving multiple tables and subqueries.
Have knowledge or basic experience in Data Visualization tools (Power BI, Google Data Studio, etc.).
Experience with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Nice- to have skills:

Business acumen and curiosity to understand our business model better.
Familiarity or basic knowledge of one of the scripting languages like R, Python, etc.
Passion for data investigation and finding out how things work.
