Data Engineer

Use analytical skills to resolve technical problems.
Use problem- solving skills to assist in the timely resolution of business problems.
Identify inefficiencies in the database platform and provide solutions to management.
Develop SQL queries and support ad hoc data requests.
Identify root causes for problems and propose solutions to prevent recurrence.
Build and support operational reports for company and clients.
Design, develop, and maintain database tables, stored procedures, and supporting objects.
Work with project managers to ensure that reports and metrics identify business needs and opportunities for process improvement.
Manage data projects by being a liaison between the business and IT.
Develop time estimates for assigned tasks.
Develop SSIS projects to handle ETL, transmission, encryption, and archiving of files received and generated.
Assist with capacity planning and resource expansion through data aggregation and analysis.
Document database topology, architecture, processes, and procedures.

Job Requirements

Experience with C
BS with 7+ years MS SQL experience.
Expert Knowledge of SSIS Required
Technical knowledge of MS SQL Server internals with emphasis on query performance.
Extensive knowledge of MS SQL Server 2012/2014/2019.
Ability to write & troubleshoot SQL code & design stored procedures, functions, tables, views, triggers, indexes, & constraints.
Thorough understanding of database structures, theories, principles and practices.
Experience with MySQL a plus
