Data Engineer (District 9, HCMC)

JOB SUMMARY:
The Data Engineer will play a critical role in driving the integration of data sources across our operations system, IIoT initiatives as well as cooperate with our global data team. This position involves designing and implementing advanced data solutions that enhance operational efficiency, improve decision- making, and foster innovation. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in data engineering and cloud computing, along with a passion for leveraging data to solve complex industrial challenges.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORITIES
IIoT System Integration: Collaborate with cross- functional teams to integrate IIoT devices and sensors into existing infrastructure, ensuring seamless data flow and interoperability.
Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends, recommending innovative solutions to enhance data capabilities and data strategies.
Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with stakeholders, including IT, operations, and business units, to gather requirements and communicate technical concepts effectively.
Performance Monitoring: Implement monitoring and reporting systems to track the performance of manufacturing solutions, identifying areas for optimization and enhancement.
Compliance & Security: Ensure data governance, security, and compliance with industry standards and regulations, safeguarding sensitive information.
Data Architecture & Engineering: Design, develop, and maintain scalable data architectures and pipelines to support manufacturing applications and analytics (main role).
Data Analysis & Insights: Utilize advanced analytics and machine learning techniques to extract actionable insights from large datasets, create ad- hoc visualizations to drive operational improvements and strategic initiatives.

- IIoT Technologies: Basic knowledge of IIoT protocols (e.g., MQTT, CoAP) and platforms (e.g., AWS IoT, Azure IoT) is a plus.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Data Management: Strong skills in data management and analytics, including experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) and database management systems (e.g., SQL, NoSQL).
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem- solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets and derive meaningful insights
- Communication Skills: Advanced English verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non- technical stakeholders
- Cloud Platforms: Expertise with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and proficiency with database and data storage solutions (e.g., SQL, NoSQL) is a must
- Data Analytics: Knowledge in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and statistical analysis software (e.g., R, SAS).
- Project Management: Strong project management skills, with attention to deliverables and due dates. Experience in Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello) is a plus
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C, experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and data processing frameworks (e.g., Hadoop, Spark). Familiar with MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, and Power Point is a must
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in data engineering, or a related field, with a proven track record of successful project delivery
