Key Responsibilities
Bridge product, data, and engineering teams to deliver cohesive, reliable, and scalable solutions.
Ensure code quality and maintainability—not only through your own implementation, but by uplifting the whole team.
Guide technical discussions, facilitate trade- offs, and drive decisions that align with business and product goals.
Proactively identify technical risks and opportunities for system improvement.
Design, build, and scale robust data pipelines and integrations using modern technologies.
Mentor and develop engineers, fostering a culture of learning, ownership, and high standards.
Set architectural vision and technical standards for data pipelines, ETL processes, and Python- based backend systems.
Requirements
Excellent communication skills in English (both written and verbal).
Deep understanding of distributed systems, asynchronous programming, and modern DevOps practices.
Expertise with FastAPI (or similar Python web frameworks), SQLAlchemy, PostgreSQL, Redis, and containerized/cloud environments (Docker, Kubernetes).
Experience mentoring engineers and helping teams grow sustainably.
Proven ability to lead technical discussions, make architectural decisions, and drive consensus.
5+ years of experience in backend development and/or data engineering, with a strong track record of Python- based system design and implementation.
Hands- on experience building and scaling data pipelines, ETL workflows, and messaging systems (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ).
Nice to Have
Prior experience in fast- paced startup or high- growth environments.
Background in cross- functional or organizational leadership.
Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), CI/CD automation, and cloud- native architectures.
