Data Scientist (AI Research, Computer Science, Machine Learning)

PIXTA Inc. established in Tokyo from 2005, which has 67 million stock photos, illustrations, and videos from over 370 thousand contributors worldwide. PIXTA has grown to be the owner of the biggest Ecommerce platform for selling & buying licensed image, video, illustrator… in Japan.

The AI Research department owns a team of experts in the field of Machine Learning, responsible for researching and applying technology to help improve and support users in many different tasks. Currently, we are looking for students for the Internship position.

Our goal is to hire potential and passionate Data Scientist who are keen on:
Your scope of work
Propose creative solutions to project problems by reading papers, sources or doing experiments

- Follow and manage working standard and process
- Have good decision making on task prioritization and problem solving
- Debug and fix the machine learning models
- Make sure work aligns with the plan of the project
- Report the working progress and situation to the Project Leader regularly

Some of the company’s AI notable projects:

- Review Assistant: detect and recognize face in high resolution images (4000-8000px) with high speed
- Tag Suggestion: recommend tags for user
- Learning to Rank: rank images on system with more than 80 millions images
- Image Aesthetic: recommend best image frame from a short clip of video
- Image captioning: recommend title for user

The best fit candidates will own:
Self-learning capability and active learning

* Having experience in working with Machine Learning & Deep Learning Frameworks
* Good planning and decision making
* Plus for having managerial project skills
* Work on lots of projects and overcome difficulties
* Able to find simple solutions for complex problems
* Studying in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Statistics, Applied Math or other quantitative fields from a reputed university.
* Have good coding, communication and presentation skills.

Salary & AllowanceSalary: 900-2000 USD
