Data Warehouse Developer

SPECIFIC TASKS:

Maintain documentation of data assets within a data dictionary
Utilise tables, views, materialised views, functions and stored procedures to create data assets
Assist in the optimisation and improvement of our database systems.
Design and develop data assets including data extraction, Data Vault 2.0 and dimensional data marts
Write SQL queries to transform and load data into Data Vault satellites, links, hubs, PITs and bridges, and dimensionally modelled fact and dimension tables
Gather requirements and feedback from internal and external stakeholders
Peer review SQL code from other team members
Conduct data set testing and root cause analysis of data quality issues

Required Skills:

Knowledge of PostgreSQL
At least 2 years of experience in designing and building Data Warehouse systems.
Experience extracting data from a variety of data sources
Experience developing a data warehouse
Fluent in English (written and spoken).
Strong SQL skills
Strong analytical skills

Nice to have:

Experience optimising SQL queries
Knowledge of major data warehouse methodologies (Kimball, Inmon, Data Vault)
Experience with version control software e.g. GIT
Experience with Tableau Prep
