Database Administration

- Provide emergency and urgent support as required by the business and/or application owner to ensure the availability and integrity of the application and data.
- Manage whole company data resources
- Perform SQL database maintenance, monitoring, and performance tuning activities..
- Work with the application owners, on an as-requested basis, to plan for and provide guidance on database and software upgrade planning.
- Optimizes database access and allocates/re-allocates database resources for optimum configuration, database performance and cost.
- Perform backup and recovery of databases, index maintenance and disaster recovery procedures.
- Implement quality data control procedures and guidelines
- Work with system and application teams to maintain 24x7 uptime requirement.
- Maintain and audit database-level security
- Implement company data protection and control
- Support and implement data entry
- Evaluate, test, and deploy new database patches and upgrades
- Configure and maintain database administration tools for monitoring performance and change management
- Develop policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of the databases.

- Strong working knowledge of data processing programming, systems
peration, problem analysis, and hardware.
- Communication skills including written, oral, and presentation skills are required
- Experience with Veam and Veritas back up tools
- Understanding of SQL Server Integration Services; SQL Server Reporting Services and SQL Server Analysis Services administration
- Professional certification as appropriate.
- Experience in database schema design
- Have strong experience with TSQL, Powershell, Windows OS; experience with data warehouse; basic networking skills.
- Experience monitoring and auditing procedures of databases
- Experience with database with development procedures and guidelines
- Proven ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with database security administration, disaster recovery planning, High availability, systems performance monitoring and tuning
