Database Administrator

Key Responsibilities:

Troubleshoot and resolve database- related issues in a timely manner.
Design, implement, and maintain SQL Server databases.
Ensure the security and integrity of the databases.
Collaborate with development teams to optimize SQL queries and enhance application performance.
Create and maintain documentation related to database configurations, processes, and procedures.
Implement and maintain database backup and recovery strategies.
Conduct performance tuning and optimization of SQL Server instances.
Perform database upgrades, migrations, and patches as needed.

Technical Attributes:

Proficiency in SQL Server administration.
Understanding of best practices in database design and optimization.
Expertise in T- SQL scripting and stored procedure development.
Ability to automate routine tasks using scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, etc.).
Experience with database monitoring and management tools.

Requirements:

Excellent problem- solving and communication skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Proven experience as a SQL Server Database Administrator in a senior role.
In- depth knowledge of SQL Server architecture, installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
Strong understanding of database security principles.
Experience with SQL Server performance tuning and optimization.
Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate) is a plus.
Familiarity with high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) solutions for SQL Server.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Experience with other database systems (e.g., MySQL, Oracle) is an advantage.

1 WORKING HOURS

Staff can start early and finish early to keep in sync with Australia working hours
Working hours is flexible and the standard guideline is between 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with 1 hour break for lunch.

2 LEAVES

12 days Annual Leave per annum. Annually leave is accumulated up to 2 years.
Sick Leave: 5 days paid per annum.
Additional one annual leave day for every five years of service
