Database Developer

Job Description

Design and implement database components: create tables, write stored procedures, functions, views, and triggers using RDBMS such as Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.
Participate in workshops with clients to gather and clarify database- related requirements.
Work closely with Business Analysts to understand business needs and translate them into data solutions.
Support developers (DEV) with database- related matters throughout the development lifecycle.
Work with NoSQL databases as needed (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).
Perform data modeling and database normalization.
Monitor database performance and tune queries for optimization.
Ensure database security, integrity, and compliance with best practices.
Present database designs to project IT teams and support data migration from legacy systems.
Troubleshoot and resolve database- related issues.

Requirements

Solid knowledge of database security and user access control.
Able to clearly explain technical concepts to both technical and non- technical stakeholders.
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Database Developer.
Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new technologies.
Understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
Experience with NoSQL databases is a plus.
Proficient in at least one relational database management system (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.).
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Strong problem- solving and analytical skills.
Strong understanding of data modeling and normalization principles.
