Demand Planner (Long An)

Objectives
- In addition to ensuring a smooth monthly demand forecast process, you are also (jointly) responsible for monitoring the forecast accuracy & bias and you are constantly looking for solutions and tools to improve the accuracy of the plan.
- As a demand planner, you are responsible for creating, monitoring, analyzing and improving the demand forecast for both the short and long term for the Vietnamese markets, various product types, brands and channels. You do this in cooperation with the sales and supply chain (operations) teams and contribute to the clarity towards our local factories (and other factories in the network) about capacity needs.
- In this position, you get the opportunity to develop yourself within a broad field of the supply chain and operations. The emphasis is on the cooperation with the sales-, supply chain and operations departments, and the colleagues in the production locations (that could be outside the OpCo).
Key tasks and responsibilities
- Participating in various projects with the aim of improving the forecast reliability and/ or the forecasting process
- The preparation and monitoring of the KPIs forecast accuracy and bias
- Leading and further shaping the monthly demand meeting, in which the input from sales & marketing is discussed beforehand
- Preparing an as accurate as possible demand forecast for all products with a horizon of 18 months in close cooperation with the stakeholders that contribute to this process
- Timely informing of the organization when stock levels, outbound deliveries and/ or customer service are at risk
- Timely receive the right input from sales (and marketing) about seasonal effects, promotions, market trends, distribution changes, tenders, product introductions and product terminations
- Proposing improvements to the forecasting process and putting IT into practice

Education
- Bachelor Degree in Supply Chain, or Management, or Engineering
Work Experience
- Excellent knowledge and expertise in Microsoft Office (in particular of MS Excel) is a requirement and knowledge of Infor M3 and DMP are desirable
- 3 – 7 years of work experience in a comparable, relevant position, or in SC
- You are result driven, strong with numbers and have an analytical mindset
- You have experience with forecasting and S&OP in aqua feed/animal feed industry or any other industry preferably FMCG. You have a strong hands-on mentality
- You have excellent communication and negotiation skills, know how to convince and persuade, and always maintain a constructive, trusted relation with your stakeholders.
