Deputy IT Ecommerce Platform Manager

The Deputy Manager of E- Commerce Platform will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining e- commerce web/app of the company. The primary objectives include delivering high- quality, user- friendly, and efficient online shopping experiences, ensuring the stability and security of e- commerce applications, and continuously optimizing the platform to meet the evolving needs of the business and its customers. This role requires a developer who can collaborate effectively with various teams to implement new features and enhancements that drive business growth.
Magento Development
· Develop, customize, and maintain e- commerce platforms (Magento 2)

Collaborate with front- end developers to implement visually appealing and functional user interfaces.
Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while adhering to best practices and coding standards.

· Perform thorough testing and debugging to ensure the quality and functionality of the platform.
Integration & Customization
· Integrate third- party services and APIs to enhance website functionality (e.g., payment gateways, shipping providers, CRM systems).

Customize Magento extensions and modules to meet specific business requirements.

· Implement SEO best practices to improve website visibility and search engine rankings.
· Optimize website performance, ensuring fast loading times and smooth navigation.
Maintenance & Support

Provide ongoing support and maintenance to ensure the stability and security of the platform.
Monitor the performance of e- commerce websites and troubleshoot any issues that arise.

Stay updated with the latest Magento updates and security patches, applying them as necessary.

Educational Background

Bachelor&039;s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent

Experience

Experience with integrating third- party services and APIs
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast- paced environment.
Strong problem- solving skills and attention to detail.
Experience with performance optimization and SEO best practices
At least 10 years in e- commerce platform development
Passion for staying current with emerging technologies and industry developments.
Proven track record of developing and launching successful e- commerce web/ app
At least 7 years of experience in Magento development.

Knowledge

Knowledge of Magento architecture, themes, and modules.
Understanding of security best practices and data protection
Familiarity with agile development methodologies and project management tools.
In- depth understanding of e- commerce industry trends and best practices.

Additional Considerations

Magento certifications (e.g., Magento Certified Developer) are highly desirable.
Experienced with other e- commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, WooCommerce) is a plus.
AWS certifications (Cloud practitioner, Solution Architect, DevOps Engineer, SysOps Administrator, or experience with AWS is plus

Technical Skills

Proficiency in Magento 2 development, including module and theme development.
Experience with caching management, page loading performance
Experience with version control systems, preferably Github
Familiarity with front- end technologies and frameworks (e.g., jQuery, Bootstrap, Knockout.js).
Strong knowledge of PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related web technologies.
