Job Summary
CJ Foods Vietnam is looking for a highly motivated and detail- oriented Design Assistant Manager to join our team. This position helps convey the brand spirit & vision through branding design (think packaging, merchandise, print, digital, brand document,...). Required to oversee the design project from end to end, starting from conceptualization to completion. Also, need to coordinate with the marketing team and lead a small design team toward producing high- quality designs. Your contribution will add value to the team and the end product. This role will report to Design Manager.
Key Responsibilities
BRAND IDENTITY DEVELOPMENT (30%):
Creative Direction: Work closely with design manager, internal design teams or external agencies to provide creative direction and feedback on design projects. Ensure that all design work aligns with the company&039;s brand guidelines, values, and messaging.
Brand Guidelines Maintenance: Assist in the development and maintenance of brand guidelines that provide clear instructions on how to use the company&039;s brand assets and maintain brand consistency across different channels and platforms.
Design Strategy Support: Assist in the development and execution of design strategies that align with the company&039;s overall brand objectives and business goals. This may involve researching, analyzing market trends, and identifying opportunities for brand differentiation.
Visual Asset Creation: Support the creation of visual assets such as logos, graphics, illustrations, and photography for various marketing and branding initiatives. This may involve hands- on design work using graphic design software.
Brand Identity Development: Collaborate with design manager and cross- functional teams to develop and maintain the company&039;s brand identity, ensuring consistency across all touchpoints including marketing materials, products, packaging, and digital platforms.
PRODUCT IDENTITY DEVELOPMENT (30%):
Packaging Design:
- Ensure packaging designs comply with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and printing production requirements.
- On- site printing quality supervision, ensure visual quality of packaging design in production
- Collaborate with the brand design team to conceptualize and execute packaging designs that reflect the brand&039;s identity, values, and product positioning.
- Develop packaging concepts, prototypes, and mockups that effectively communicate product features, benefits, and brand messaging.
Point of Sale Communication:
- Coordinate with marketing and sales teams to tailor POSM materials to specific retail channels, promotions, and seasonal campaigns.
- Create visually compelling POSM designs that capture attention, communicate key messages, and reinforce brand identity in the retail environment.
- Design POSM materials such as: display stands, shelf talkers, signage, and promotional collateral that enhance brand visibility and drive sales at retail locations.
Digital communication:
- Develop engaging visual content for social media platforms, including graphics, illustrations, animations, and video assets.- Design social media posts, stories, covers, and profile assets that align with the brand&039;s visual identity and messaging.
QUALITY ASSURANCE & PROJECT MANAGEMENT (20%):
Ensure timelines & quality of various brand design projects
Ensure they meet quality standards and adhere to brand guidelines
Provide feedback and recommendations for improvement as needed
TEAM LEADERSHIP (10%):
Actively involve & support Design Manager oversee the strategic direction, team management, resource allocation, and stakeholder engagement within the design department, driving organizational success through effective leadership and process optimization.
DESIGN SUPPORT – EXPORT (10%):
Supporting export team in design creations such as:
• Packaging Layout Localization:
- Adapting design elements to suit the cultural, linguistic, and regional regulation of specific target markets. This includes adjusting language, imagery, colors, and layout to resonate with local audiences & regulatary while maintaining brand consistency and compliance with regulations.
• Secondary label (Sticker):
- Base on provided technical requirement from R&D & Information from Export Marketing team, creating secondary label (label) for various product packaging (Primary packaging & Secondary packaging) for different categories in multi languages. Include: Flat Design, Simmunilation- Feedback and Iteration correction.
- Ensure packaging designs comply with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and printing production requirements.
• Printing Production Supervision:
- Align & management expectation between different stakeholders (Sale, Marketing, Design & Production)
- On- site printing quality supervision, ensure visual quality of packaging design in production
- Perform pre- production technical quality checking based on printing technical requirement (Printing Specifiction based on different printing techniques)
• Communication materials:
- Design execution for different sale & brand communication materials varies from sale/brand cateloge, brochure, flyer, poster, sale convention booths ….
