DevOps Engineer

With offices in Norway and Sweden, we are proud of being the Nordic region’s largest SaaS provider within project management, including timekeeping, resource planning, quality assurance, staffing, and recruitment. Milient is often used by architects, the staffing industry, advertising, engineering and IT.
Milient is currently seeking a DevOps Engineer with growth ambitions.

Your responsibilities will include:

Monitor and maintain system health, performance, and security.
Automate and streamline our deployment processes using CI/CD pipelines.
Stay up- to- date with the latest DevOps trends, tools, and best practices.
Design, implement, and manage scalable and secure infrastructure on AWS using Terraform.
Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and application issues.
Develop and maintain documentation for infrastructure and processes.
Collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth deployment and operation of applications.

To succeed in this role, we believe you should identify with some of these points:

Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools and practices.
Excellent English communication skills, spoken and written.
Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
Excellent problem- solving skills and attention to detail.
Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Having experience in Java programming.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer certification.
Knowledge of security best practices and compliance standards.
Experience with other cloud providers (e.g., Azure, GCP).

Desired skills:

Proficiency with AWS services and Terraform, strong knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI, strong scripting skills in Bash, Python, or similar languages.
