Director, Development (Engineering)

As the Director of Development for our Vietnam office, you will lead our engineering and product development initiatives. This role requires a strategic leader with a solid foundation in both engineering and product development. You will guide our team toward technical excellence and innovation, ensuring the delivery of software solutions that align with our strategic goals.

You are well- versed in software development methodologies and the product life cycle.
You have proven experience in engineering leadership and product development within a tech- focused organization.
You possess exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
You are fluent in English, with proficiency in Vietnamese considered a plus.
You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Engineering Leadership
Implement best practices in engineering methodologies and processes.
Collaborate with global teams to synchronize engineering strategies and optimize resource allocation.
Oversee technical architecture to ensure scalable, maintainable, and high- quality software delivery.
Cultivate, mentor, and recruit top talent, emphasizing quality, performance, and efficiency.

Product Development
Collaborate with the global product management, biz dev, design, and stakeholder teams to define the product vision and roadmap.
Act as the primary product expert within the Vietnam office, liaising closely with global product managers.
Infuse business context and customer value into the office, clarifying the importance of feature prioritization and development.
Prioritize the product backlog, balancing customer and business needs.
Drive the product development lifecycle from concept to launch, aligning products with market demands and organizational objectives.

Strategic Planning
Manage the development budget and cost for the Vietnam team, ensuring resource efficiency.
Anticipate technological advancements and trends to keep our development strategies competitive.
Contribute to the company&039;s overall business and technology strategy.
