JOB RESPONSIBILITIES-
The Director of Quality Assurance will oversee all aspects of quality assurance and production processes for Skechers manufacturing operations within the Northern Vietnam region. This position requires a strategic leader who can enhance our factory base&039;s performance in terms of efficiency and execution while maintaining superior quality standards. The successful candidate will be accountable for the overall quality and production output within the region, ensuring that our products exceed customer expectations and uphold our brand&039;s reputation.
JOB PURPOSE-
• Quality Assurance: Develop and implement rigorous quality assurance protocols, ensuring that all products meet or exceed Skechers&039; quality standard.
• Technical Expertise: Possess extensive knowledge of constructions, with the ability to identify potential problems and devise solutions.
• Supplier Partnership: Work closely with suppliers and factory partners to foster strong relationships and ensure they meet Skechers&039; standards for quality and ethical practices.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other departments within Skechers to evaluate team effectiveness. Collaborate on creating and initiating new protocols/processes that enhance team efficiency and product quality.
• Best Practices and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs): Ensure best practices and SOPs, as directed by the corporate office, are consistently followed, and implemented throughout the region, ensuring all Skechers factories adhere to the same guidelines.
• Team Development: Build, mentor, and lead a high- performing team capable of achieving excellence in quality and production.
• Cross- Regional Coordination: Maintain clear and thorough communication with teams in Asia and the USA regarding ongoing issues, partnering with factories to clearly convey Skechers&039; expectations while upholding manufacturing standards.
• Performance Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve factory performance, focusing on efficiency and execution without compromising on quality.
• Decision Making: Make impactful decisions on a daily and long- term basis within the defined scope of production and quality.
• Reporting and Analysis: Provide comprehensive reports on quality and production metrics, making data- driven decisions to drive improvements.
• Leadership and Communication: Offer strong leadership to the Skechers factory base, ensuring your team is motivated and successful in meeting our quality standards and delivery timelines. Setting clear goals and strategies to enhance operational efficiency and product quality.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES-

• Other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES-
• Responsible for setting clear objectives, monitoring team performance, and ensuring high- quality products.
• Overseeing a dedicated team, providing leadership, guidance, and direction to ensure team members are effectively performing their roles.

JOB REQUIREMENTS-
• Ability to effectively prioritize workload.
• Strong project management with confident communication skills.
• Strong business, leadership, planning and organizing skills; including the ability to provide innovative, strategic ideas to management, communicate value, gain approval, and implement effectively.
• Excellent communication, analytical and project management skills required.
• Possesses a solid foundation in all aspects of footwear manufacturing and related processes to footwear production (footwear development is a plus).
• Exceptional ability to work independently and efficiently with various departments in multi- layer, globally disbursed function.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.
• Use sound judgment in decision making with results driven orientation.
• Possesses a sense of responsibility and ownership.
• Able to mentor and grow talent, including delivering effective performance management messages to subordinates.
• Ability to participate as a team member as well as leader in a fast paced, hands on, global team- oriented environment.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS-
• Speak Chinese and or Vietnamese is a plus.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
• Proven track record of improving production efficiency and quality outcomes.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Teams, Zoom, PLM, Pivot88 etc.
• Apparel experience is a plus.
• Minimum of 10 years&039; experience in quality assurance and production management within the footwear or apparel industry, with at least 8 years of factory experience in production and quality.
• Strong understanding of footwear manufacturing processes and quality standards.
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Engineering, or related field. A master’s degree is preferred.
