Participates in the development and implementation of business strategies for the Hotel which are aligned with Brand’s overall mission, vision values and strategies
Develops the annual sales budget in conjunction with the Director of Sales and Marketing and in line with Corporate Budget Instructions
Monitors hotel performance and forecast regularly and adjusts strategies as required
Develops and implements sales strategies that support achievement of the Hotel’s financial goals
Achieves market share and revenue goals by working with the Director of Sales and Marketing on individual and team goals within assigned market segments
Uses outside sales calls, prospecting, hotels tours and hosting of clients to solicit new business
Ensures communication response to clients within 24- hours of receipt of request.
Ensure all materials used are in accordance with brand standards
Prepares proposals and contracts that are geared to maximize profit while satisfying client needs
Leverages all brand marketing support opportunities
Creates and implements marketing strategies which are designed to increase awareness in the local market.
Maintains a high level of awareness of hotel competitor set performance and local market opportunities
Reviews individual and team goals on a weekly basis; recommends and takes appropriate actions to achieve objectives in key result areas
Develops data and recommends programs to meet clients&039; needs
Implementation of revenue generation strategies designed to maximise revenue and yield.
Maximises productivity by ensuring that sold business is aligned with the Hotel’s revenue optimization strategies
Designs and proposes programs which meet customer needs and drive demand
Develops and implements annual sales goals which are aligned with the hotel’s overall revenue goal
Monitors productivity and revenue goals for each sales team member by tracking results
Review of all business opportunities to ensure profitability levels are acceptable
Implements function space allocation for group and catering bookings
Develops and implements strategies and practices which support employee engagement
Provides employees with coaching and counseling as needed to achieve performance objectives and reach their fullest potential
Recruits and selects qualified candidates
Drives employee engagement through the creation and implementation of departmental action plans
Provides employees with the orientation and training needed to understand expectations and perform job responsibilities
Communicates performance expectations and provides employees with on- going feedback
Acts as lead and back- up to Director of Sales and Marketing
Works closely with the Director of Sales and Marketing to lead the team in his/her absence
Develop key leadership skills by working with Director of Sales and Marketing, attending classes and working with other executive committee members
Creates 100% guest satisfaction by providing the Yes I Can! experience through performance that demonstrates the standards of genuine hospitality and exceeding guest expectations. Provides employees with the training and resources they need to maximize employee engagement and deliver Yes I Can! service and teamwork

Performs other duties required to provide the service brand behavior and genuine hospitality

Adhere to hotel policies and procedures
At all times projects a favourable image of the Hotel to the public.
Perform all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established company policies and procedures to achieve the overall objectives of this position.
Assist in the development of the Hotel business plan and ensure an overall understanding of its departmental goals and objectives.
Communicate effectively with guests, co- workers and the manager.
Maintain a favourable working relationship with all other hotel employees to foster and promote a co- operative and harmonious working environment.
Performs other duties as requested by the Director of Sales and Marketing
Follows safety and security rules and procedures
Ensures thorough understanding of all Brand Sales and Marketing programs
Keeps immediate Supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance.
Attends work on time as scheduled.
