The Duty Manager directs and leads the Front Office personnel and ensures the smooth operation of the department under the direction of the Assistant Front Office Manager / Front Office Manager where the results achieved are in accordance with the objective, performance, and quality standards established by the Hotel. In the absence of the Assistant Front Office Manager / Front Office Manager, the Duty Manager is in full charge of the Front Office operation. He/she also represents the management in handling all areas of operations within the Hotel, especially during the night shift

Yêu cầu công việc

When on night duty, supervise the preparation of the “Daily Room Statistical Report”.
To supervise all personnel in the Front Office which included telephone and the Service sections.
To make daily rounds through all operating departments, to increase visibility to guests and employees, particularly during the night shift.
To ensure that all the staff adheres to all policies and procedures established by the Hotel.
To assist the Assistant Front Office Manager/Front Office Manager in organizing, directing, and coordinating the daily activities of the Front Office, to ensure the smooth operation and proper administration of the department.
To authorize the cashing or paying of bills by credit cards and also to make decisions on guest credit concerning A.R. billings.
To encourage maximum revenues and occupancies through training and direct control.
To work closely with Security Officers in handling and undertaking incidents of crime and accidents affecting our guests.
To be thoroughly conversant with the Front Office computer system and to act as a system shift supervisor in the absence of the EDP Officers.
To ensure that all Ving Cards and folders for tours/groups are prepared before the arrival of the tours/groups.
To check and ensure that all rooms/suites assigned for VIPs are in order and the respective amenities are placed in the rooms/suites.
To ensure effective communication within the Front Office and also with all other operating departments.
To represent the management in handling all guest complaints concerning services from all areas of operations.
To check and submit the “Front Office Reconciliation Report” and the “Front Office Control of Folio of Guest In- House Report” daily after running the end- of- the- day report during the night shift.
To welcome arriving VIPs or CIPs and bid farewell upon their departure.
To handle guest complaints promptly and efficiently and record accordingly in the logbook.
