E-Learning Specialist

** The e-Learning Specialist supports our goal of providing diverse learning opportunities by building the capacity of IT professionals to develop and provide software solutions.
** The e-Learning Specialist is responsible for creating and evaluating online/blended course content delivered through the ELCA’s training platform.
• Facilitate live and recorded training (e.g. lectures);
• Review and refresh existing online courses and related content;
• Collaborate on surveying the needs from learners and sharing this feedback to be actioned as appropriate;
• Construct new online courses, work with a cross-disciplinary team of program staff, trainers, tech experts, designers;
• Collaborate with training team to proceed training procedure such as creating and maintaining curriculums, courses & classes on training platform, drafting internal learning announcements, follow-uping learning programs;
• Analyze course enrollments and completion rates and implement strategies to increase both and monitor for learners’ progress and utilization.
• Research, Develop and implement innovative ways of learning online activities, learning tools, evaluating knowledge/ skills transfer to learners;
• Create and implement training for ELCA staff on how to use the LMS and other company systems (building curricula, running reports, viewing learner transcripts);
** This position also executes e-Learning materials which supports ELCA’s learning and development activities.

• Knowledge of and experience with e-learning content standards (e.g. SCORM, xAPI).
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in training, communications, adult education/ instructional design or information and communications technologies.
• Experience with HTML, image, audio and video editing and course-development softwares is a plus;
• Experience working in software development preferred.
• 3-5 years’ experience in eLearning management.
