EHS Associate Engineer

• Responsible to own and implement the EHS programs in accordance with First Solar requirements, Local Regulations and ISO standards.
• Responsible for industrial hygiene monitoring and reporting including ventilation systems (HEPA filter) testing
• Perform assessment on new tools, process and personal protection equipment and provide recommendation to management.
• Interface with other department’s subject matters and EHS- related topics
• Identify potential regulatory issues related to safety matters and perform risk assessment to ensure a safe working environment.
• Other duties as assigned
• Perform trainings on EHS for new personnel hired into First Solar and contractors
• Perform monitoring, update tracking system & deploy controls to comply with environmental health and safety (EHS) regulatory requirements and other related EHS standards.

Experience:
• Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Minimum 2 years experience in the Environmental, Safety or Industrial Hygiene fields required.
Education:
• 4 year degree in technical engineering/mechanical/chemical university. EHS related degree is preferred
Required Skills/Competencies:
• Proven knowledge of EHS regulations, standards and procedures.
• Proven EHS skills and experience in an manufacturing setting – including (but not limited to) Safety, Environment and IH
• Fluency in English and Vietnamese, spoken and written, is required.
• Knowledge of internal audit procedures (ISO 14001:2015 & ISO 45001:2018)
• Proven communication skills.
• Proficient use of all Microsoft Office suite programs.
• Proven problem- solving skills.
