Electrical Commissioning Engineer

Key responsibilities
Activities
Participating at sea trials phase, during Damen Shipyard supply trips of ships to their client destination, solving issues and that may arise.
Setting up, operating installations and finishing testing programs following HAT/SAT protocols for electrical systems
Commissioning
Reporting test data in HAT/SAT documents as well as for improvement points/standardisation.
Checking, supporting and coordinating the activity of OEM suppliers during commissioning phase
In pre- commissioning phase, doing pre checks for cable installations and completeness of connections to support efficient commissioning of systems
Checking electrical drawings and signalling issues. Providing improvement proposals to the Engineering department.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Communication (oral ability to express oneself)
Knowledge of Microsoft office package and AutoCAD
Sailing experience or working on ships as electrical engineer is also considered.

Key competencies
Experience
Completed engineering course, naval architecture or specialty studies on electrical and automation, electronics, telecommunication, etc.
Knowledge of Internet and computer technology, network systems is an advantage
Minimum 5 year experience in shipbuilding or relevant position in electrical and automation systems.
Effective communication, taking into account the level of the parties that is being communicated with in a multinational environment.

Proficient spoken and written English skills
