Embedded Network Engineer C, Linux, 3-5 YOE

Responsible for maintaining and developing software for broadband devices, including GPON routers, Ethernet routers, and access points.
Job Description:

Read and understand Networking Standards (TCP/IP, IEEE 802.11, … )
Design, implement new features based on Customer’s request using Broadcom/Realtek/Airoha SDK
Go on business trip to fix issue on Customer side
Modify and fix bug in User space, Kernel space or SDK source code
Implement WebUI features following UX/UI, or revise the exiting UX/UI if necessary
Review existing requirement and work with stakeholder to identify gaps in the requirements
Participate in team’s planning, code reviews and design discussions leading to improve and deliver reliable software through continuous integration, automated testing, and issue tracking
Design the non- functional testing to verify the software running of the actual hardware (WiFi coverage, Maximum Throughput, Stress test, Stability test, … )

Education: Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or similar field
Qualifications

[Preferred]Knowledge about inter task/thread/process communication paradigms, Hardware Abstraction layer, OS Abstraction layer and ability to develop software that uses these
[Mandatory] Strong C programming skills with good understanding of Embedded Linux
[Mandatory] 3- 5 years of experience developing on and for Embedded system using C (or C++)
[Mandatory] Experience with networking TCP/IP
[Mandatory] Familiarity with hardware
[Preferred]Experience with wired and wireless networking technologies including Ethernet, WiFi n/ac/ax
[Preferred]Experience with embedded build systems, such as Buildroot, Yocto, OpenWRT or RDK- B
[Preferred]Experience with Git, Gerrit, Jira
[Mandatory] Experience with other languages: Python, Bash, …
[Preferred]Board bring- up and bootloader experience for MIPS or ARM based systems

Knowledge/ Skill/Attitude

Experience with containerized platforms (Docker, etc.)
Experience with other languages: C++, Javascript …
Ability to seek truth in creative problem solving- addressing the root cause, and not its symptoms
Proactive, enthusiastic, and responsible in work.
Experience supporting technology deployed to the field (consumer, industrial, or other).
