Design Engineer Manager
Experienced in the PEB (Pre- Engineered Buildings) industry.

Key Objective of Role
The role is responsible for leading and managing the engineering department, ensuring the efficient design and execution of pre- engineered buildings (PEB). The role involves overseeing structural design, coordinating with other departments, ensuring compliance with international and local building codes, and optimizing engineering processes for quality and cost- effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
Engineering Leadership & Management:
· Lead and supervise the engineering team, including structural engineers, detailers, and drafters.
· Engineer Leadership & Management
· Plan, allocate, and review engineering work to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to timelines.
· Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and performance management for engineering staff.
Structural Design & Analysis:
· Oversee the structural analysis, design, and detailing of PEB structures.
· Review and approve engineering calculations, drawings, and connection designs.
· Optimize designs for cost efficiency while maintaining structural integrity and safety.
· Ensure all designs comply with applicable standards (AISC, AISI, MBMA, ASTM, IS, BS, Eurocodes, etc.).
Coordination & Cross- Functional Collaboration:
· Coordinate with clients, architects, and consultants to understand project requirements and provide technical solutions.
· Collaborate with project managers to resolve site issues and ensure smooth project implementation.
· Work closely with sales, estimation, procurement, and production teams to ensure seamless project execution.
Quality Assurance & Compliance:
· Develop and enforce engineering standards, design guidelines, and best practices.
· Ensure compliance with local and international building codes, safety regulations, and client specifications.
· Conduct periodic reviews and audits of engineering work to ensure high- quality deliverables.
Process Improvement & Innovation:
· Identify and implement improvements in engineering processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
· Promote the adoption of advanced software for design, detailing, and project management.
· Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies in PEB engineering.
Cost Management & Optimization:
· Assist in value engineering initiatives to enhance profitability.
· Review material selection, design efficiency, and fabrication feasibility to minimize project costs.
· Work with procurement and production teams to ensure material optimization and reduce waste.
Training & Development:
· Conduct regular training sessions for the engineering team to enhance skills and technical competencies.
· Develop a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and professional growth within the department.
