Engineer Supervisor

Conduct follow- ups on all maintenance and repair work.
Maintain all inventory and equipment, and ensure proper storage.
Conduct safety inspections as scheduled.
Establish strategies to meet workload demands on time.
Comply with all health and safety regulations and practices on site.
Oversee all repairs and ensure that work is completed on time.
Employ, supervise and train technicians.
Conduct preventative maintenance work.
Coordinate daily cleaning and maintenance activities.
Prepare weekly maintenance schedules and allocate work as per forecasted workloads.
Inspect sites regularly to identify problems and necessary maintenance.

Ability to prepare and interpret engineering plans and specifications.
Ability to adapt to rapidly changing priorities on a daily basis in order to changing construction schedules and to meet the needs of grant funded project deadlines.
Ability to adapt approved engineering methods and standards to the design and construction of a variety of municipal public works projects.
Knowledge of legal statutes and ordinances pertaining to engineering and public works projects.
Ability to perform technical research and calculations and to present findings and recommendations clearly.
Ability to plan, assign, direct, and evaluate the work of subordinates.
Ability to adapt approved engineering methods and standards to the design and construction of a variety of municipal public works projects.
Advanced knowledge and skills in the use of a computer and various application programs.
Knowledge of principles and practices of civil engineering as applied to the design, construction, and maintenance of municipal public works projects.
