Job responsibilities:
Maintenance, Engineering and Projects at Site:
Adequate leadership to ensure an open constructive (safety) dialogue with the shop floor and strict compliance and adherence to AkzoNobel’s Life Saving rules.
Secure Safe Work Practices maintenance, engineering and operating production processes.
Ensure the department is contributes and adds value to the company&039;s objectives (time, resources/ budget, quality, stakeholder satisfaction) and adheres to national standards and legislation and AN standard and for maintainability in all capital projects and turn arounds at the site.
As Site Responsible Engineer (SRE) responsible for:
specifying proper operating and design limits for CE
appropriate design standards and materials of construction are used for CE
ensure any modifications follow through the MOC procedure.
critical equipment (CE) identification
CE is properly inspected and maintained according to set schedules
Ensures that required systems, processes, action tracking and progress overviews are available to monitor and govern adherence to all M&E projects and plans.
Ensure that all Improvements are embedded in asset management (through regular MOC processes or project implementation).
Have develops and maintains plans made and managed for the site based on strategic business agenda and required maintenance replacement or improvement plans as input to the Long Term Asset Plan [LTAP].

Build and maintain a network within AkzoNobel within HSE, ISC, CAPEX procurement
Application of the AkzoNobel project methodology
Ensure optimal staffing, (functionally) lead, coach, appraise and develop M&E employees as appropriate.
Participate in and lead the development of the local discipline (SRE) engineering community to stay abreast of local requirements and regulations
3. Continuous improvement:
The M&E manager is a key driver and best placed to continuously improve the overall long term maintenance costs and maintenance replacement capex requirements. A year on year improvement is expected from the elimination of bad actors, optimizing the maintenance concept and modification/selection of appropriate equipment configuration/materials.
Responsible for compliance with AkzoNobel standardized [ALPS] work processes and best practices on maintenance, projects and engineering
5. Relation Management:
Secures compliance with applicable AkzoNobel policies, guidelines, processes, methodologies, working methods and systems
Participates in and executes value improving practices (peer reviews, value engineering) and knowledge management (sharing, maintaining, updating information and best practices)
Functional excellence in local codes/standards, total productive maintenance, manufacturing support, problem solving, project management and BBS.
