PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION:
Lead and oversee the process engineering teams within the electronics manufacturing services (EMS) department. Involve driving process excellence, optimizing manufacturing operations, and ensuring the efficient functioning of production equipment. Leadership and technical expertise of Engineering Manager will contribute to the successful delivery of high- quality products and services to customers.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY:
- Process Engineering:
• Implement process control methodologies, such as statistical process control (SPC), to monitor and maintain process stability.
• Utilize lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and advanced process optimization techniques to enhance process efficiency and quality.
• Collaborate with cross- functional teams, including design, manufacturing, and quality, to ensure efficient and effective processes.
• Lead the process engineering team in developing, optimizing, and improving manufacturing processes for electronic products.
- Continuous Improvement and Cost Reduction:
• Identify and implement cost reduction opportunities through process optimization, equipment upgrades, and automation.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
• Foster a culture of innovation, encouraging the exploration of new technologies, process advancements, and equipment upgrades.
• Conduct regular process audits and performance reviews to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Quality Assurance and Compliance:
• Participate in customer audits and address any quality- related concerns or non- conformities.
• Collaborate with the quality team to develop and implement quality control processes, including inspection criteria and testing procedures.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, industry regulations, and customer requirements.
• Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for process- related quality issues.
- Team Leadership and Development:
• Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide feedback, and identify training and development opportunities for team members.
• Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment, promoting knowledge sharing and continuous learning.
• Set clear goals, expectations, and performance metrics for the teams.
• Lead and manage the process engineering and machine maintenance teams, providing guidance, mentorship, and technical support.
- Documentation and Reporting:
• Maintain process specifications, work instructions, equipment maintenance records, and other relevant documentation.
• Ensure accurate and thorough documentation of process engineering and equipment maintenance activities.
• Prepare regular reports and presentations on process performance, equipment reliability, and improvement initiatives.
