ETL Tester (SQL/PL, Automation)

Responsibilities and Duties:

Design, develop, and execute ETL test plans and test cases to mimic data processing in a production scenario.
Validate data sources, extracting data applications of transformation logic and uploading data in target tables.
Identify, analyze, and document issues with data processing, data integrity, data quality, and performance.
Ensure compliance with data governance and security policies.
Writes, reviews and executes formal test scripts including setup and data requirements, procedures and expected results.
Report on testing status, including metrics, anomalies, and challenges.
Prepare data sets for testing, including input data and expected data outputs.
Participate in troubleshooting and tuning ETL processes.
Automate ETL test processes to improve efficiency and coverage.
Use SQL and other query tools to perform complex data analysis and validation.
Work closely with data warehouse developers and business analysts to ensure correct implementation of data models and ETL processes.
Monitor and manage issues/bugs life cycle in tracking systems.

Required skills/Experience:

Clinical domain knowledge is preferable.
Knowledge of automated testing tools and frameworks is a plus. (Especially Katalon)
Agile/ Scrum experience.
Proficient in SQL/PL SQL, Join conditions, Procedures … and scripting for data manipulation and validation.
Proactively engage with all team members including developers, business users and business analysts.
Should be familiar with the ETL Testing tools, techniques and methodologies.
Proven experience as an ETL tester or in a similar role.
Excellent problem- solving skills and attention to detail.
