***OBJECTIVES
Plan and organize regular TechTrain participation in events and activities in order to:
1) Build brand awareness among target market
2) Drive student leads acquisitions and support sales conversions
3) Develop TechTrain partnerships/network through event activities
4) Utilize event data collection, leads and conversion metrics to direct events strategy
*Roles & Responsible
(i) Knowledge and Preparation
Act as TechTrain brand ambassador in all external communications and activities.
Become quickly familiar with:
1) Brand DNA Doc: TechTrain’s branding style which must be communicated at events
2) TechTrain’s branded assets:
- TechTrain branded designs (and their inventory status)
- What is required to make an impactful event (incl prizes, give-aways, etc)
- Plan inventory requirement by advance request min wks before events wherever possible
3) TechTrain offerings: course details (topic, age, length, price), outcomes (functional and emotional benefits), and their relative prices and age levels
4) TechTrain’s brand value proposition (ref Brand Communications Framework doc)
(ii) Event Management
‘Events’ include: Festivals // fairs // exhibitions // bazaars // pro-bono and charitable activities // chamber of commerce events // sponsorship and other co-branding opportunities // in-house showcases
1) Create events calendar for monthly MKT manager sign off
2) Stakeholder communications: Liaison, cost negotiation, and planning
3) Developing of branded merchandise (supported by designer, with, MKT manager sign off)
4) Inventory management of all branded merchandise, decor and related assets - standees for example - and decor purchased/ordered
5) Marketing and messaging: Adjust activities and message around style and objectives of event
6) Event logistics: in- and out-bound. Plan staffing, refreshments. Attendee estimates
7) Ensure workshopping is prepared (see below**)
8) Report: Deliver event report to CEO
(iii) On Site Sales
1) Proactively plan and seek sales opportunities
2) Speak confidently to kids/parents/visitors about the benefits of learning coding, TT courses and outcomes, course details (duration, dates, learning journey options)
3) Make conversions on-site
- Place/recommend students into scheduled classes via assessment on the spot
- Track and store all cash transactions following company policy
** Workshops and activities
1) Collaborate with Academics & Marketing, to create exciting student workshops for various age-bands
2) Pre-enroll and conduct on the day
3) Prepare prizes to the best performers
