Finance Manager

Selex Motors is a pioneering startup in electric vehicles and new energy solutions, with a mission to accelerate the transition to smart and sustainable mobility in Vietnam and Southeast Asia. We aspire to be the number one EV company in the region.
In January 2022, Selex Motors raised US$2.1 million in a seed funding round led by Touchstone Partners. ADB Ventures, the venture investment arm of the Asian Development Bank, and Korean VC firm Nextrans also participated. The company is currently expanding its R&D operations, strengthening the in-house manufacturing capacity of vehicles and battery packs at its new factory in the Hanoi area, and starting deployment with early customers.
We are entering a phase of rapid growth and looking for an ambitious Finance Manager to help us achieve the next challenging goals. The job description is below.
Roles and Responsibilities
• Propose plans and advise the CEO on financial matters
• Support fund-raising process: prepare financial model, presentation (good at preparing slides is strongly desired) and other related materials; assist in deal formation and analysis; participate in discussion with investors and lawyers.
• Manage all aspects of the finance and accounting department to ensure compliant, transparent and effective financial and accounting operations
• Assist the CEO in reporting and working with local and foreign investors and financial institutions
• Ensure regular cash safety and cash management efficiency; Maintain an effective cash planning system
• Identify issues, propose and lead actions to manage the enterprise risk profile e.g. financial risks, foreign exchange risks, noncompliance risk, tax risk, interest rate risk for the companies etc.
• Able to build and manage an accounting system from scratch according to Vietnam regulation and readily compatible with international practices
• Ensure the company having strict compliance in term of corporate governance; tax and other finance/accounting related requirements

Work Location and starting time:
• 56/18 Mac Thai To Lane, Yen Hoa, Cau Giay, Ha Noi.
• Start working in Jun 2022 or earliest available time.

Requirements:
• Good knowledge and application of International Financial Reporting Standards is an advantage (IFRS).
• Experience: At least 6 years in related areas with at least 2 years as chief accountant or managerial level. Working experience in KPMG, Deloitte, EY or PwC is strongly desired
• Strong attention to details
• Possess strong integrity and work ethics
• Ambitious with a strong self-motivation
• Education: Graduate in finance/accounting areas from top universities in Vietnam. Degree from a developed country is a plus
• Excellent proficiency in English language is a must
• Good problem-solving, organizational and communication skills
• Qualification: ACCA/CPAA is a big plus
• Ability to manage and coach team members
• Ability to work under pressure
