Financial Accounting Lead Vinataba-Philip Morris Limited, HCMC Branch

JOB SUMMARY:
- Ensuring efficiencies in the overall tax environment and strict compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations. Ensuring smooth coordination and communication between all departments to minimize the risks of non- compliance, exposing the company to any negative impacts.
- Responsible for smooth and accurate month- end closes, the timely and accurate submission of all the financial & statutory report.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
* Responsible for recorded accounting transactions and financial reports meets with applicable accounting standards and business requirements as per affiliate scopes.
- Perform and reconcile physical assets count of the Company and follow up on discrepancies and perform necessary corrections.
- Ensure journal entries and supporting documents are prepared and entered into SAP in a complete, accurate and timely manner.
- Coordinate with relevant IBS teams for period end closing process to ensure the information in the legal entities’ financial statements accurately and completely reflects our business operations.
- Prepare and complete all assigned period- end transaction checklist.
- Perform monthly reconciliation schedules and review reconciliation schedules as per assigned scopes in Runbook to ensure all sub- ledgers are reconciled with General Ledger accounts and any discrepancies should be identified and explained to ensure the accuracy of accounting transactions.
- Manage fixed assets movements and update in Fixed assets register to ensure those movements are recorded properly according to VAS/US GAAP and PMI guideline.
* Tax Compliance & Tax Reporting
- Assist and support on tax compliance program and risk management project.
- Provide partnering service to business teams through analyzing relevant transactions to determine their tax implications and ensure full compliance with local tax regulations
- Ensure all the tax returns fully comply with all legislative requirements, including, paying the correct amount of corporate and withholding taxes, and claiming the correct amount of allowances.
- Work and liaise directly with tax authorities on follow up of tax inspections and tax audits on site. Ensure that all issues are properly addressed and inform management about progress on a timely basis this contributing to the favorable results of tax audits.
- Work and liaise directly with tax consultants on operational issues concerning corporate and indirect tax to ensure the Company&039;s interest is well protected while fully compliant with local legislation.
* Local treasury coordinator
- Assist IBS Treasury in providing the required documents (hardcopy, getting signature) to local bank.
- Coordinate with IBS Treasury to monitor daily cashflow and payment process.
- Prepare PMI treasury reports and ensure integrity of treasury data is maintained at high level, and reports are submitted on a timely basis to guide management in planning, controlling and making business decisions.

- Experience with shared services process activities is an advantage.
- Concise communication skills (verbal, written, visualizations) and excellent English skills.
- Minimum 5 years of proven experience in a multinational environment.
- Keen on working and provide finance business partnering with senior stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree from Finance, Economics, Accounting or other relevant background.
- Hands- on experience with relevant Microsoft 365 (Office) applications and financial coordinated systems such as SAP, Concur, Coupa etc.
