* Job context
Reporting to the Finance Director Asia the main role of the Asian Financial Controller is to ensure the financial integrity, compliance and efficiency of operations across the Asia region. The role encompasses oversight of financial reporting, budgeting, inventory management and internal controls.
* What you&039;ll do
The position involves leading financial analysis, supporting strategic decision- making and ensuring alignment with group policies and standards.
- Reporting
• Participate in monthly financial closing processes, including provisions, sales cut- offs, stock in transit, credit limit extensions, etc...
• Ensure timely and high- quality completion of monthly closings, providing active follow- up and support to subsidiaries.
• Review and analyze monthly reports, including Sales, COGS, and Gross Margin (GM) templates.
• Consolidate weekly bank balance, cash flow, AR/AP reports and monthly BFC reporting.
• Prepare and communicate the monthly reporting instructions and calendar.
• Oversee and manage monthly financial reporting and organize financial review meetings.
- Annual Audit Coordination
• Define audit missions on an ad- hoc basis.
• Organize and coordinate auditor schedules and meetings to ensure smooth audit processes.
• Prepare and manage annual closing instructions and schedules.
- Subsidiary Analys and profitability
• Track and analyze Profit & Loss (P&L), sales, and gross margin data across Asia by country, product, and customer. Ensure cost control by comparing actual results against landing, budget, and prior year figures.
• Act as a Finance Business Partner, providing support and financial expertise to cross- functional teams, especially to Territory Manager in each entity.
• Prepare and evaluate analytical commentary on variances to identify key insights and trends.
- Working Capital and Supply chain
• Ensure alignment and consistency between Sage and local reporting.
• Consolidate end- of- month inventory data from subsidiaries and storages.
- IT Systems (Sage, BFC, Olmix Applications)
• Collaborate with French IT teams to address and resolve complex technical issues.
• Collaborate with IT Asia as the primary contact for finance- related IT systems.
• Coordinate basic support and provide training to subsidiaries for any IT project related to Finance.
- Budget and Forecasting
• Coordinate with customer service teams regarding sales budget inputs, ensuring updates in Adel and Power BI are accurately reflected. Supervise the preparation of inter- company (ICO) price budgets in collaboration with the supply chain team, focusing on the transport matrix and landed cost assumptions.
• Contribute to the re- forecasting of cash flow to optimize cash flow projections and meet financial expectations.
• Ensure effective implementation of all guidelines, framework letters, and instructions from the Olmix Group across Asia.
• Participate in and oversee the annual landing and budgeting processes.
- Internal Control and Procedures
• Monitor subsidiary payments and manage remote approval processes through delegation.
• Develop and implement additional procedures as required to strengthen internal controls.
• Ensure compliance with internal Olmix policies across all operations.
- Taxation
• Collaborate with tax consultants or external accounting firms to ensure full compliance with applicable tax regulations.
- HR Coordination
• Ensure alignment of HR- related financial reporting between BFC data and the monthly HR report.
