Finishing Supervisor (Garment and Textile)

***Duties and Responsibilities:
• Make sure all the employees working in the finishing section are skilled for their specific job.
• Taking care of workers health and safety who are working in the finishing section.
• Must be aware of his section&039;s capacity for different products in different processes (ironing, visual checking, garment alteration, folding, and packing).
• Take preventive action for making non-conformance products.
• Planning for loading different styles in different to different teams.
• Act as the coordinator among the different departments for ensuring continual production.
• Monitoring the finishing related processes in order to meet on-time shipments.
• Act as a team leader for betterment of product, process, resources as well as environment.
• Leadership, discipline, attention to detail, independence and willingness to work under pressure
• Should be able to explain the job to the workers and give instructions on how to do the finishing jobs in the correct ways.
• Responsible for doing quality work by his/her team.
• Ensuring finishing completion target for a given order (styles) with desired quality.
• Should technically be qualified & capable of monitoring day to day activities.
• Preparing daily finishing section production report.
• Must be following up day to day target work. Should have to perform other Finishing related duties and responsibilities.
• Preparing report for damaged and rejected garments.
• Maintaining inventory for consumables in this finishing section and required accessories for packing and other activities.
• Take corrective action for non-conformance products.
• Taking care of finishing cost per garment (for different apparel items).
• Preparing the report of the surplus garment after shipment.
• Maintain floor discipline, 5S.
• Keeping quantity check for outsourcing job work – like mending work, scalping work.
• Chase production department / washing department for sending garments.
• Should plan daily finishing target based on its daily capacity (depending on the manpower availability) and able to finish and pack as per target quantity.
• Hiring and keeping required manpower for all activities performed in the finishing section. The finishing section’s manpower includes thread trimmers, garment checkers, measurement checking person, spotting person, stitching repair operator, garment folding, and packing.
• Coordination of quality control section and finishing section for any kind of fault is generating during processing.
• Responsible for garment quality issues if found in internal quality audits and buyer&039;s QA inspections.
• Planning overtime work hours in advance (If needed). And keeping records for employees doing OT hours work and daily total manhours spent on OT work.
• Have the ability to manage big team in finishing & packing with good results.
• Follow up the inventory of garments received in the finishing department.
• Arranging necessary training required for building workers&039; skills to the finishing room activities.
• Make a good plan to finish the product by considering urgency, smooth running of production line as well as production nature discussing with senior production management.
Reporting Channel:
• Report to Production Manager and Vice President.

***Education and experiences:
• Diploma or Equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years of working experience with all types of Knit Products.
• Good numerical, logical, analytical, goal-oriented, critical thinking & problem-solving ability.
• The applicants should have experience in the following area(s): Total garments making process, Quality Management system, Quality Inspection process.
• Strong Management background.
***Skills and Qualifications:
• Ability to create and adhere to production processes.
• Excellent organization, communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, and a strong work ethic.
• Knowledge of manufacturing tools and equipment.
• IT skills, especially using data analysis software.
• Relevant training and certification in industrial production, engineering, or any related field
• Ability to write reports legibly and accurately.
