-Conduct routine property inspections to ensure its functions, determine maintenance requirements or upgrades and improvements to the property and its assets.
-Be able to analyze problems, formulate and execute plans, to get work done quickly, including procurement of materials, part, and etc., and necessary scheduling arrangements with a high degree of quality.
-Oversee and direct all activities ensuring completion of priority projects first.
-Manage, repair and lead maintenance projects and building improvements by effectively coordinating and planning all tasks in advance. Utilize all possible resources and coordinate efforts with engineering and other affected departments. Use project management techniques along with the appropriately assigned engineering team members to perform project planning and execution. All methods, materials and practices must meet and be in accordance with local codes, company specifications, national codes and standard practices.
-Plan and schedule preventative and corrective maintenance for rooms and engineering systems.
-Ensure event, meeting, convention orders are completed in a timely and concisely manner in an engineering management capacity.
-Analyze energy and utilities usage, look for ways to conserve energy and implement energy conservation programs.
-Be available for any emergencies and act in an engineering management capacity to protect our guests and employees, and preserve the building and its systems during the emergence. Act quickly and responsibly as possible to return the building to its normal operating status.
-Manage inventories and procurement of parts and supplies; ensure the facilities, equipment and offices under the supervision are maintained in excellent condition. Materials procurement and coordination of their availability are also critical to the success of this position. Our goal is to cost-effectively maximize the schedule.
-Respond to guests’ complaints up to their satisfaction.
2.Team and administration management:
-Assist the Director of Engineering in the assessment of training needs and planning, and implementation of relevant training courses.
-Train engineering staff all relevant knowledge to perform well in their jobs and assist them in their development and further advance.
-Recognize outstanding individual performance and deal with substandard performance fairly, immediately and constructively; give clear, concise directions, provide support and supervise the team to ensure that directions are properly executed; get the right people in the right job.
-Make sure all blueprints and diagrams are stored and organized neatly. All catalogs, manuals, specs, etc are kept up to date for all operational equipment and supplies.
-Assist in the development of departmental job safety analysis and create a safe work environment. Continuously look for conditions that may endanger employees or guests of the hotel and to take immediate action to correct any hazardous conditions found.
