Furniture Designer

This position combines engineering expertise with merchandising insight to develop innovative furniture products, ensuring quality, functionality, and market appeal. You will collaborate closely with design, sourcing, and merchandising teams to drive product development from concept to completion.
Product Design & Merchandising Support

Assist in the creation and execution of product lines and merchandising strategies.
Support the development and refinement of product specifications to ensure quality and functionality.
Conduct research on market trends and consumer preferences to inform design strategies.
Develop design presentations and mood boards to showcase product concepts.

Collaboration with Cross- Functional Teams

Work closely with R&D Engineering to assess design feasibility and ensure practicality.
Assist the Sourcing team in material selection and evaluating finishing options.
Collaborate with the Sample Development team during the prototype creation phase.
Coordinate with the Merchandising team for effective product placement, pricing, and strategy.

Continuous Improvement & Design Input

Assist in the preparation and presentation of seasonal collections.
Maintain and organize design documentation and project archives.
Actively participate in product development meetings, providing design insights for ongoing improvements.
Support photography and catalog development to enhance the product’s market appeal.

Additional Responsibilities

Manage Casegoods projects assigned by the Supervisor.
Perform other tasks as directed by the Department Head.

Proficient in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
1- 2 years of experience in Furniture Design or Merchandising is preferrable (Freshers with strong foundation will be trained 100%)
Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or related field.
Strong understanding of furniture design principles, trends, and color theory.
Good knowledge of furniture manufacturing processes and materials.
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, basic CAD, and MS Office Suite.
Creative mindset with the ability to work well in a team and adapt to changing priorities.
Strong visual presentation and organizational skills.
