General Ledger Accountant

The General Ledger (GL) Accountant will provide hands- on operational and financial reporting support. The GL Accountant is a strong individual contributor and is responsible for the day- to- day accounting department functions within Ashley&039;s Corporate Accounting Department. This position provides exposure to our financial processes and financial processes and financial reporting as well as working with other departments within the Company. The GL Accountant applies both technical accounting knowledge and analytical skills to their work.

Actively participate in department meetings, training, and education;
Demonstrate the Company&039;s Core and Growth Values in the performance of all job functions;
Analyze records of financial transactions to determine accuracy and completeness of entries;
Complete other assignments and special projects as requested.
Prepare and compile financial data in a timely manner to support established schedules and deadlines;
Reconcile assigned accounts including preparation of appropriate documentation, working with individuals in Accounting, Accounts Payable and Cash Team to resolve reconciling items;
Prepare journal entries and support schedules for closing;
Analyze and maintain accurate general ledger accounts;

Bachelor &039;s Degree with Finance or Accounting major or have strong background and have at least 2- 3 years of experience in GL Accounting, Required.
Willing to work in the US timezone
Good attitude, willing- to- learn.
Hard working, carefully, detail oriented.
Have a passion and drive to continuously improve processes, procedures and employees in order to meet operational excellence.
Good English (4 skills) and confident in communication.
