• Streamlining of operational procedures, launch new and exciting concepts and drive product innovation.

• Managing budgets and financial plans to meet or exceed targeted results, controlling expenditure, maintaining statistical and financial records and preparing Financial Reports.

• Build rapport with our owners so they feel well informed and have a strong level of trust in our management skills.
• In conjunction with the Director of Sales & Marketing to conduct regular meetings focusing on
the number of prospecting and existing account calls each person will make and the potential business result of these calls.
• Meet clients on property, including meeting contacts and potential clients touring the property, to assist in the sales effort and to be in the public areas during peak times, greeting guests and offering assistance as needed.
• Conduct monthly credit meetings and take an active role in the property credit and collection policies.
• Meet prospective Owners to present Oakwood brand, conducts site analysis for viability and reports for Oakwood’s Business Development.
• Attend business, industry and community events to network and build relations and promote Oakwood.
• Tour the operating departments daily, making adjustments as needed via department heads.
• Participate in required M.O.D coverage as scheduled.
• Develop managers for future advancement through competency training and corporate sponsored training programs.
• Forecast monthly the property’s financial position, by estimating revenues and line- by- line expenses. Analyze previous and projected data to generate an accurate reforecast within a +/- 5% variance.
• Ensure that Associates are at all times attentive, friendly, courteous and efficient in their interactions with guests and all other Associates.
• Assist in creating a positive team- orientated environment which focuses on the guest, through Associate development and motivation.
• Make sure Job Descriptions for all positions are accurate, up to date but above all relevant.
• Play a pivotal role in the property sales efforts including calling on top twenty accounts, meeting clients, hosting entertainment, and meeting with on- site contacts on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
• Ensure that training in service standards is taking place in each department using the steps to effective training according to Oakwood’s standards.
• Inspect rooms weekly (each room type) with both the Housekeeping Manager and Chief Engineer to ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the physical property through inspections, reviewing preventive maintenance programs with department managers.
• Perform all Executive Committee members’ performance appraisals according to Oakwood’s SOPS.
• Make sure SOP’s for all departments are accurate, up to date but above all relevant.
• Prepare and conduct all management interviews and follow hiring procedures according to Oakwood’s standards.
• Perform any other duties as requested by your line supervisor or the CEO/Managing Director, Global Vice President Operations and Director Of Operations (Regional)
• Comply with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations.
