General Manager

Position Overview
- The General Manager is responsible for the daily operations, performance, and atmosphere of the wine bar. This role requires strong leadership, hospitality, and organizational skills. The GM ensures that every guest receives excellent service, the team is motivated and well- trained, and the business meets financial and quality targets.
Key Responsibilities
• Support recruitment, training, and performance reviews
• Ensure compliance with hygiene, safety, and local licensing regulations
• Represent the bar in the local community and build relationships with regular guests
• Control costs and monitor sales performance (food cost, labor cost, P&L, etc.)
• Manage inventory, purchasing, and supplier relationships (especially with wine distributors)
• Collaborate with the Sommelier and kitchen team to ensure menu harmony
• Lead and motivate staff to deliver exceptional guest experiences
• Maintain the brand’s image, service standards, and customer satisfaction
• Oversee daily operations including reservations, service, bar, and floor management
• Plan and execute events such as wine tastings, guest chef nights, and private bookings
Team size: 10–12 people (including service, kitchen, bar, and sommelier)
Reports to: Owner / Director
Location: Hanoi, Vietnam
Seating capacity: 50 seats (30 indoor, 20 outdoor)

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in restaurant or bar management (wine- focused venue preferred)
• Knowledge of wine and food pairing preferred
• Passion for hospitality and detail- oriented service
• Financial literacy and operational management skills
• Fluent in English; Vietnamese a strong plus
• Strong leadership and communication skills
