  . Key member of the senior management team

  . Ensure sales, profit inventory and trading term targets and budgets are met

  . over sea the development and execution of category and merchandising strategies, improving the business stock management capabilities and sourcing 
  .Develop robust strategies and determine range design, and product selection to support the business’s ambitious growth plans 
  .Provide strong leadership to the marketing team, develop a world class , commercially focused marketing function[ this could be under the coo, but buying input is critical] 
  .Recruit, retain and develop talent within the business to ensure internal capabilities keep pace with growth
  . Provide strategic guidance , coaching and leadership to the commercial team
  . Assess supplier capabilities, and develop supplier strategies 
  . Improve the quality of commercial process’s and disciplines
  . Strengthen customer insight capabilities, that capture and deploy key data.

.Proven ability to work under pressure, and deliver company targets and results.
.Outstanding track record , managing the trading function.
.Premier leadership and commercial capabilities.
.Mix of strategic insight, [plus broad based operational experience would be highly advantageous in BBM]
.Ability to develop innovative strategies 
.Primary accountability in bringing methods of working 
.Developing category management as applicable to BBM, strategic planning for product supply, stock allocation and sourcing
