Job Summary:
Netviet’s client is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to oversee our financial operations in Vietnam. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in finance and accounting, with a proven track record in multinational companies (MNCs). This role will report directly to the Finance Director in Singapore and have a dotted line reporting to the Vietnam CFO, playing a critical role in driving financial strategy and ensuring compliance with local accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Strategic Planning: Support the Finance Director and CFO in strategic planning and decision- making processes, providing financial insights and analysis.
• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the local finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and manage annual budgets and financial forecasts, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives.
• Financial Management: Oversee all financial operations in Vietnam, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with cross- functional teams and external stakeholders, including auditors, tax authorities, and financial institutions.
• Governance, Risk and Compliance (“GRC”): Implement and maintain GRC policies and robust internal controls in alignment with head office’s requirements to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial data.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with Vietnamese financial regulations and standards, including tax and audit requirements.
• Cost Management: Monitor and control operational costs, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare and present accurate financial reports to the Finance Director in Singapore and the Vietnam CFO.
Qualifications:
• Experience: 10- 15 years of relevant experience in financial management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within a multinational company (MNC).
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification preferred.
• Skills:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Language: Proficiency in Vietnamese and English.
Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.
Excellent analytical and problem- solving skills.
Strong knowledge of Vietnamese financial regulations and standards.
