[HCM] Cloud Operations Engineer (SRE)

The Cloud Operations Engineer is responsible for the management, support, and operational integrity of our cloud computing environment. This role involves deploying, maintaining, and optimizing cloud resources to ensure high availability, performance, and security of our cloud infrastructure. The engineer will use monitoring tools like Datadog to oversee our systems efficiently.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Collaborate with Corporate IT Team to implement and maintain security measures.
Implement automation tools for efficient cloud operations, including resource provisioning, scaling, and management.
Monitor cloud services and environments using advanced tools such as Datadog and Rollbar to ensure availability, performance, and security.
Work closely with development teams to integrate cloud services into the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
Document cloud architectures, procedures, and processes.
Stay up- to- date with industry best practices and emerging cloud technologies.
Perform regular system audits, backups, and disaster recovery operations.
Implement, and manage cloud- based systems and architectures (AWS, Google Cloud).
Optimize cloud spending and ensure efficient resource utilization.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for cloud- related issues.

Must Have

Proven experience in managing cloud services and operations.
Minimum 2 years of experience in Cloud Operations, DevOps, SRE, or a similar position.
Strong knowledge of major cloud service providers, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
Understanding of network protocols and services (DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, SSH, FTP).
Bachelor&039;s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Nice to Have

Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, ECS, Kubernetes).
Knowledge of IT security best practices and cloud security models.
Excellent problem- solving skills and the ability to work in a fast- paced environment.
Experience with cloud automation and orchestration tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible).
