JOB DESCRIPTION
Review and provide consultancy fortrademark- related matters (experience with international trademark registrationand counseling is preferable);
Handle IP infringementcases, including but not limited to: (i)communication with the infringers and the authorities; and (ii)drafting/reviewing reports/summaries of cases to clients and/or seniorattorneys/partners.
Respond to provisionalrefusals, taking trademark oppositions/cancellations/invalidations, assignmentand licensing, renewal and change recordable procedures, and related matters.
Respond to inquiries, including but notlimited to: new application procedures/cost estimation, application preparation,drafting, and filing.
Perform market research and check infringers&039; activities.
Perform other tasks relevant to or in connection with theforegoing.
Respond to inquiries from clients and potential clients inrelation to trademark and other IP matters in a timely manner.
Representclients in trademark opposition, cancellation, and invalidationproceedings before the National Office of Intellectual Property of Vietnam(NOIP) and the courts.
Conductcomprehensive trademark searches, analyze cases, draft documents, prepare advice,and report to clients.
Draft, file, and prosecute trademark applications in Vietnam andabroad on behalf of clients.
Other tasks as requested by the nature of theposition and senior attorneys/partners.
REQUIREMENTS
Experience in other IP areas, such as copyright, industrialdesigns or patents, is a plus.
Be active & self- motivated and work well with colleagues.
Bachelor of Laws (qualified industrial property attorneys orqualified lawyers are preferable);
Excellent in communication skills;
Conversant with Microsoft Office, Internet & E- mail;
Fluency in English (listening, speaking, reading & writing) (TOEIC/IELTS/ TOEFL certifications or equivalent are preferable);
Able to work independently under pressure, be responsive toclients; and
At least 03 to 05 yearsof working experience in the field of intellectual property (working experiencein international trademark- related advisory services will be preferable).
