The Sales/Merchandising/ Sourcing Manager (Furniture Industry) will be responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies with the customers, managing supplier/vendor relationships, and optimizing the merchandising process for the furniture product line. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sourcing and merchandising within the furniture industry, excellent negotiation skills, and a track record of driving cost savings and quality improvements. Including:
• Sales strategic consultant to Chairman & BOD;
- Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans for furniture categories: indoor living/outdoor living/organization;
- Manage the orders and understand the customer&039;s expects;
- Identify potential customers, assess their capabilities, and negotiate favorable terms and agreement;
- Main exellent relationship with customer network;
- Find customer, and final order >> Closing sales;
• Supplier/factory management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing/new ssupplier;
- Evaluate supplier performance, conduct regular audits, and implement improvement initiatives;
- Source and onboard new suppliers to expand the vendor network for US, UK market.
• Merchandising management:
- Coordinate daily operational activities in production;
- Manage and supervise merchandising process to ensure the quality, order specifications and delivery dates.
• Cost Negotiation: Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to achieve cost savings and maintain competitiveness >> Collaborate with suppliers on continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality.
• Costing analysis >> calculating the listed selling price.
• Market Analysis:
- Provide regular market analysis and insights to inform strategic sourcing decisions.
- Stay informed about market trends, pricing fluctuations, and emerging technologies in the furniture industry.
• Quality Assurance: Work closely with the Quality Assurance team to ensure that suppliers meet or exceed quality standards.
• Cross- Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross- functional teams, including Product Development, Manufacturing, and Quality Assurance, to align sourcing strategies with business objectives
• Collaborate with suppliers to identify opportunities for cost reduction and value engineering.
