Under the overall supervision of the MBHR Viet Nam Lead, with direct supervision of the Project

Tasks to be performed under this internship:
Prepare presentations, talking points and other outreach materials for the unit as needed;
Assist the unit in strengthening strategic messaging, planning and dissemination of IOM tools and resources, including translating communications&039; materials from English to Vietnamese or from Vietnamese to English;
Enhance internal communications through knowledge management and exchange;
Assist in creating engaging and impactful human- interest stories and press releases, ensuring alignment with IOM&039;s objectives and key messages;
Support the National Communications Officer to ensure consistent and engaging content across various platforms;
Provide digital communications support, including graphic design, photography, videography, and editing content for IOM Viet Nam&039;s social media platforms and website in dual languages, with a focus on private sector engagement;
Conduct research on communication best practices, industry trends, and emerging platforms to inform and enhance IOM Viet Nam communication and outreach strategies;
Assist the unit with national activities related to meetings and events, including but not limited to providing administrative/logistics support before and during the event, preparing meeting reports or notes for file (NFF):
Enhance existing internal documentation and knowledge management;
Retrieve, compile, summarize, analyze, and present information/data on migration and development topics in coordination with the project unit;
- Undertake other tasks as may be assigned.
Eligibility
The internship opportunity is open to candidates of any nationality, who have legal status to reside in Viet Nam. Candidates must be between 20 and 36 years old at the time of application and meet one of the following requirements:
Have graduated from a graduate school
Be enrolled in a graduate school programme (second university degree, master&039;s or equivalent, or higher); or
(second university degree, master&039;s or equivalent, or higher); and, if selected, must commence the internship within one year of graduation.
- Interns are expected to be covered by their own non- occupational accidents and illnesses.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Meet the above eligibility with a specialization in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Political or Social Sciences, Law, International Development, Public Administration, Business Administration, or a closely related field;
Required Skills:
Proficiency in graphic design software (e.g, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar)
> Strong photography and videography skills, with a keen eye for detail and composition
Excellent editing skills for both images and videos
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to adapt content for different audiences and platforms
Knowledge of migration- related issues and IOM&039;s mission is an asset
• Proficiency in English (oral and written) and working knowledge of Vietnamese required; working knowledge of Korean, or Japanese is an asset.
* Excellent organizational and time- management skills and strong interpersonal and intercultural communication skills.
- Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with migration and humanitarian crises contexts
Ability to work independently and adapt to a fast- paced, multicultural environment.
Benefits
Interns are granted a monthly stipend referred to as a Monthly Subsistence Allowance (MSA) as partial contribution towards accommodation and living expenses. No other remuneration is granted for internships. Interns benefiting from any internship allowance, financial remuneration or scholarship granted by their university or other sponsoring body will not be eligible for MSA.
Interns are covered against occupational accidents and illnesses under the CP insurance.
Successful interns may be offered a contract for up to 6 months.
