Role Summary:
The Head of Data will be responsible for establishing and leading the company’s data strategy, governance, and analytics capabilities. This role will drive the transformation of our data assets into strategic business value by building a high- performing Data team, overseeing enterprise- wide data initiatives, and ensuring data architecture and analytics are scalable, secure, and aligned with business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategy & Leadership
Drive the adoption of data as a strategic asset across the organization, supporting functions such as Marketing, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, and Customer Experience.
Build and lead a cross- functional Data team (data engineering, data analytics, data governance, and data science).
Define and lead the Data Governance practice to ensure the good management and handling of the data & digital assets across the organization.
Collaborate with business stakeholders and technology teams to prioritize data initiatives and ensure ROI- driven execution.
Define and lead the enterprise data strategy aligned with business and digital transformation goals.
Data Platform & Engineering
Ensure data pipelines, data lakes, and data warehouses are scalable, reliable, and performance- optimized.
Lead integration efforts with internal systems & platforms like ERP, POS, eCommerce (Web/App), CDP... and external data sources using ESB/API middleware.
Oversee the design, development, and optimization of the Enterprise Data Platform on Microsoft Azure and other cloud computing platforms
Analytics & Insights
Deliver timely, accurate, and actionable insights to business users.
Establish self- service BI and reporting infrastructure and promote data democratization across departments.
Drive advanced analytics, predictive modeling, and AI/ML projects where applicable.
Data Governance & Quality
Ensure compliance with local and international data privacy regulations (e.g., Vietnam PDPA, GDPR where applicable).
Implement enterprise- wide data governance, data cataloging, and data quality management frameworks.
Define and monitor data KPIs, data usage policies, and security standards.
Team Development & Management
Recruit, mentor, and retain a world- class Data team.
Set team OKRs/KPIs aligned with company goals.
Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and innovation.
