Accounting Responsibilities:
Optimize working capital through managing credit risk, customer and supplier payment terms, collections and credit limits reviews, inventory reviews and other appropriate controls. Make recommendations to the approving authorities on credit limits settings, payment terms and other policies.
Provide support to holding company, related companies and head office.
Work with different teams in the local and global organisation for compliance, reporting and to achieve various targets set by higher management.
Manages the internal and external audits process. Develop, oversee, and ensure compliance to local and group accounting standards and internal controls.
Manages and performs accounts closing, reconciliation and reporting processes. Comply to all closing timelines.
Performs other duties as requested such as corporate secretarial matters, insurance, capital expenditure requests, lease renewals etc.
Manages and oversees treasury controls, compliance, cash flow sufficiency..
Manages general accounting (general ledger, payables, receivables, fixed assets, banking, tax, credit and collections), and budgetary controls. Maintains strong internal control and safeguards company assets.
Compile and analyze account information, preparing entries for assets, liabilities, and capital accounts.
Financial Management:
Appraises the operating results in terms of costs, budgets, policies and operations, trends and increased profit opportunities. Analyses records of present and past operations, trends and costs, estimated and realized revenues, administrative commitments and obligations incurred. Reports results and makes recommendations to senior leadership.
Strong soft skills with Leadership, team management and serving as a role model for the other colleagues.
Prepares and develops accurate operating and financial reports for leadership and corporate reporting that of various perspectives and comparisons such as actuals, budgets, forecasts or other relevant information.
Business partnering and CAPEX (Capital Expenditure) control. Grow the company together with the management. Heavily involved in business growth
Conduct cost and revenue analysis, review contracts, and evaluate suppliers and contractors.
Reconcile bank statements and vendor accounts, manage borrowings and loans, and prepare financial reports.
Participate in M&A deals and financial due diligence processes.
Tax Reporting:
Prepare and submit financial statements, tax reports, and statutory reports.
Generate monthly, quarterly, and yearly statistical reports.
Coordinate with tax authorities and respond to tax inquiries and letters promptly.
Ad- Hoc Responsibilities:
Establish new procedures for the accounting department and handle tasks assigned by the Board of Directors.
Management Accounting System:
Manage AR and AP processes, maintain accurate accounting records, and liaise with authorities on accounting matters.
Develop and maintain a chart of accounts compliant with VAS and IFRS standards.
Prepare monthly management reports and variance analyses, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
Finance Responsibilities:
Reconcile inventory receipts, incorporate costing systems, and prepare process measures.
Prepare yearly budgets and monthly forecasts, analyzing variances and controlling expenses.
Close month- end and quarter- end accounts, ensuring compliance with VAS and IFRS.
Liaise with internal and external auditors and manage tax- related tasks, including reporting and compliance.
