Head of Risk Management

Our esteemed client, a prominent financial institution in Vietnam, seeks a highly qualified and seasoned Head of Risk Management to guide and involve their adept risk management team in the execution of comprehensive risk controls and operational processes across the risk management function. The ideal candidate will support the CEO & Group Management Office in overseeing Risk Management, encompassing credit risk, enterprise risk and control, and market intelligence. The assigned to this role will be responsible for evaluating and minimizing considerable competitive, regulatory, and technological risks to an organization&039;s capital and earnings.
Job Responsibilities

Leading the team proficiently in the implementation of risk management strategies for the Company to ensure the effective mitigation of market risk, payment risk, liquidity risk, and operational risk in compliance with legal regulations and internal Company policies.
Collaborating with various departments to execute the Company’s business plans and development strategies during each specified period.
Engaging in any other tasks assigned by the CEO and Group Management Office.
Conducting thorough measurement and monitoring of risks and acting as the final control checkpoint prior to process execution.
Establishing a comprehensive risk alert and management system within the Company.
Providing regular and ad- hoc reports to both external regulatory authorities and internal stakeholders.
Analyzing and evaluating current business operations, as well as new business activities and products, and delivering proposals, recommendations, and solutions to minimize associated risks.

Experience Requirements

An added advantage would be holding a professional certification in securities analysis or a higher qualification.
Candidates with a profound knowledge of risk measurement, analysis, assessment, and management models, as well as a comprehensive understanding of stock market operations and familiarity with financial market tools and products, are preferred. The ability to swiftly comprehend information related to the stock market, financial market, company, industry, and products is essential.
Required job skills include strong leadership qualities, coaching, decision- making, organization, risk analysis and identification, and presentation capabilities. Fluency in both English and Vietnamese communication skills is necessary.
The ideal candidate will possess a university degree in law, economics, finance, banking, or securities. Furthermore, applicants should have a minimum of 10 years of experience in the financial services industry, with preferrable 5 years specifically dedicated to risk management within the areas of the stock trading and fund services. Additionally, a minimum of 3 years of mid- level management experience is required.

Educational Requirements

Preferred educational credentials include Fund Management or Securities Analysis designations.
Hold a bachelor&039;s or master&039;s degree in Law, Banking and Finance, Accounting and Auditing, Economics, or Securities; or MBA.
