Position Purpose
Duties & Key Responsibilities
The Human Resources Intern will assist to complete affairs arranged by the Human Resources department in line with Hilton and hotel policies and procedures.
· Monitor the use of stationery and printing materials in the office.
· Be responsible for the translation or other word input in the HR office.
· Provide support and suggestions to all personnel related matters.
· Attend the following meetings and be responsible for taking minutes.
· Take charge of the filing system at the HR office and keep all the files in a systematic manner.
· Handle the check in / out for Level 3 and below team members.
Other meetings where applicable.
Department meetings at discretion of the HR Director or HR Manager.
· Provide relevant information and assist in the designing and editing of team member magazines, newsletter, and fliers, etc.
· Provide necessary information and explanation to team members in a timely and accurate manner where required.
· Organize monthly team member canteen management committee routine meetings and follow up on the discussion items.
· Adhere to the hotel’s security and emergency policies and procedures.
· Assist in the organization of team member activities and recreation.
· Collect and report issues mentioned in the team member suggestion box, and feedback follow- up actions.
· Ensure all team member facilities like the reading and recreation room, team member locker room as well as the team member dormitory are maintained in good order and meet hotel’s cleanliness standards.
· Follow up on the opinions and suggestions brought up during team member communication meetings, and feedback in time.
· The Management reserves the right to change / extend this job description if necessary, at any point of time during her / his employment
· Carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned.
· Ensure that all team members have a complete understanding of and adhere to the hotel’s team member rules and regulations.
· Ensure that all team members abide by the hotel’s dress codes and rules.
· Avoid negative comments on hotel policies and procedures, financial and business performance, promotions, and activities.
· Maintain effective internal communication with team members.
Requirements
· Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
· Must possess basic computational ability.
· Ability to foster excellent relations with associates and maintain team member and guest confidentiality at all times.
· Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
· Able to work with all levels of team members.
· Strong sense of responsibility and self- motivation.
